What They're Saying About ConvergeSouth

We'll post them as we get them...

A quick message to CS sponsors...
I've been attending the convergesouth conference these last few years and just wanted to extend a thank you for supporting this important GSO area event. I'm looking forward to attending this year and just wanted to extend a thanks. Good luck at the event - hope to c u there.

Is there any way that I can get materials from the conference? I would like any general handouts from the keynote, panel and if available, the handouts from the sessions “Email Marketing,” “PR and Marketing Online” and “Tips for Better Search Engine Marketing.” If you could mail or email them to me that would be awesome.

I know I use a blog unconventionally, but it works and builds relationships that help my credibility and business grow. Thanks for giving me a platform to share that with others and give them ideas how they can do it too.

Thanks again for including my husband, Francis, and myself in the ConvergeSouth dinner and conference.  I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and getting to know you and your daughter at the dinner, and then hearing informative insights at the conference sessions.

The conference was very well organized and run.  Please put us on the list for next year's conference and convey my sincere THANKS to those who volunteered their time and effort in making this 2008 conference a success.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.  Sit down and relax and know that this endeavor was a success.

Please accept my thanks for all the work you and the other coordinators and volunteers did to make ConvergeSouth 08 such a success. It truly was a remarkable event.  I was so glad to be able to finally attend, and know the experience will stick with me for some time.

I also wanted to send my regret in not having been able to attend the barbecue that evening. By the time I left on Friday I was actually concerned I might be getting sick, and thought it best not to push any further. However, I had RSVP'd my intention to be there and am familiar with the "no show" contributions to planners' frustration. I've just made a small donation via a different email address as an expression of my appreciation for all the hard work, and in hopes that it will help defray a smidge of the cost. I wish it could have been more.

Will keep my radar tuned for info on next year's plans - looking forward to it!

I'm sure that all of you will join me in extending this gesture of appreciation to Sue and Ed for all of their efforts in pulling off ConvergeSouth this past week.  It's easy to show up and absorb.  These folks took the time to assemble the whole show.  Thank you.

I know first-hand how difficult planning and setting up an event like this can be. It takes a tremendous amount of advanced planning and a lot of hard work. The details can be overwhelming and when things go great, most people don't notice - let one tiny thing go wrong and chaos ensues. Congrats to everyone that worked so hard to make this such a successful event!  Sue - my hat's off to you!

I only wished there was more of a Greensboro showing on Saturday.
Five locals, none of the CS08 organizers.

I wasn't able to attend Friday; but Kelby Carr and Dave Slusher did a great job organizing Saturday.  I know that it technically wasn't part of ConvergeSouth; but a few folks had made reservations for both CS and Blogher.  They considered the conference as one event.

The Charleston crew had a lot of good info to share and I'm glad they decided to stay.

I also want to add my deepest thanks to Sue, Ed, David, all the A&T folks, and the others who made ConvergeSouth happen. I learned a lot all day Friday, and enjoyed speaking (and eating!) with others at the BBQ Friday night. I'm jealous that a previous family commitment took me out of town Saturday and Sunday, and I missed what looks like a terrific Saturday lineup. Count me in to donate and volunteer next year; a truly remarkable event!
